Role Overview:

Reporting to the UK CFO, this position will be responsible for defining and developing all financial activity for the NS&D Division within the UK business.  They will serve as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team within the UK Finance community. They will be overseeing a number of programmes through various aspects of the programme life cycle including, but not limited to, proposal strategies, price generation, programme execution and close-out.

A broad range of financial, programme and business acumen will be required for this position including a familiarity of business processes associated with Programme Control, Estimating, Financial Planning and Analysis and Overhead management. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Apply broad working knowledge of programme management & business operations to establish required business operations tools, processes, governance and compliance, ensuring full programme impacts and interactions understoodManage, coordinate and control all aspects of finance for programme performance including actuals, budgets, forecasts, analysis and reporting ensuring the development of financial strategies necessary to achieve programme financial goalsReview and communicate status of Programme's financial performance and risk and opportunities to Senior Management and support Corporate reporting requirementsProvide leadership and guidance to the Division, Programme and Portfolio teams (particularly in new customer spaces), ensuring all system requirements, financial structures and reporting are established and communicatedAbility to think outside the box and problem solve to provide quick and appropriate solutions in order to successfully resolve challenges, drive the business forward and meet Customer requirementsOversee cost and pricing strategies within the Division as well as proposal price, identifying dependencies and interfaces to ensure proposal deadlines are achieved and a deliverable solution submittedSupport capture managers in business case and commercial elements of capture effort Define financial and commercial resource skill sets required for capture effort and programme executionManage the development and negotiations of contract price proposals that appropriately balance risk and profit.Providing strong, forward-looking analytical leadershipLeading a high performing team of Finance professionals

Required Skills:

Strong background in general accounting, financial managementKnowledge in pricing, estimating/cost modelling and proposal activitiesGovernment/MoD/Intel contract knowledgeProfessional accounting/finance qualification e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCAKnowledge of facilitating solutions collaboratively with customers and suppliersAbility to establish Business Operations strategy and planTeam player but can also work independently and proactivelyMoD SC ClearanceExceptional oral and written communication skillsCapable of operating to tight schedules in a demanding environmentKnowledge on open book contractsTeam Leadership experience

Desired Skills:

Good analytical skills, ability to problem solve and develop process improvementsGood knowledge of Programme OperationsAbility to establish and maintain relationships with all levels of Internal and External Customers.
