**Position Summary**
Plans, directs and controls the business affairs and administrative functions of one or more divisions of the department. Participates in the formulation of strategic planning and oversees the implementation of planning decisions.
**Job Responsibilities**
+ Formulates the Divisional policies and objectives. Analyzes Division economics and develops financial and strategic models for short and long-term planning.
+ Participates in the faculty recruitment process. Directs the academic appointment and promotion process and liaison with the departmental appointment staff . Ensures divisional compliance for all credentialing of physicians, NPs and PAs.
+ Responsible for all Human Resources activities. Makes all final divisional decisions regarding hiring, corrective action plans, terminations, salary adjustments, promotions, new job postings and replacement positions. Liases with HR staff.
+ Manages financial affairs with annual operating revenue and expenses which include Physician Organization professional fees, education funds, research and sponsored program awards, endowments, institutional support and donations.
+ Develops capital and operating budget annually. Prepares revenue and cost projections and makes financial recommendations. As necessary, develops remedial action plans to avoid or ameliorate deficits. Approves all expenditures within the Division.
+ Oversees and provides leadership to the research enterprise. Works closely with all PI’s to develop their research and expand the research profile of the Division.
+ Acts as a resource in the area of grants management. Implements policies, procedures for pre-award grant activities. Oversees post award management ensuring appropariate spending of grant funds, timely submissions of grant reports to sponsors, etc.
+ Oversees clinical operations to ensure that clinical practice site(s) operate(s) efficiently and delivers high quality of care. Identifies opportunities for revenue enhancement and implements same.
+ Assists with administration of the ACGME clinical fellowship training program, preparing for site visits and providing necessary documentation. Oversees the coordination and administration of teaching programs for fellows, residents and medical students.
+ Participates in planning and implementation of capital projects and facility maintenance. Updates the annual space survey, approves utilization of the space. Maintains and updates the annual equipment inventory reports. Coordinates relocation projects.
**Education**
+ Master's Degree in related field
**Experience**
Approximately 10 years of administrative, supervisory, and financial management, including grant management experience.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Substantial experience in computer systems development and financial modeling preferred.
