This position requires a person who has a consistent track record of being able to work in a complex and constantly evolving environment, is used to work with a large scope of responsibilities and can set the right priorities to deliver results.

Additionally, the ideal candidate possesses relevant experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, and/or Project Management, with a preference for those who have worked in High-Tech Systems development environments characterized by high diversity and low production volumes.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Procurement management:

Support division P&L by engaging with critical partners with regard to supply resilience, procure-to-pay efficiency, category alignment, and executing COGS targets.Manage Productivity and supply chain optimization projects.Contribute to global procurement strategy development and divisional deployment.Ensure supply continuity by screening & assessing suppliers and communicating long-term demand plans.Handle customer issues regarding delivery, quality and overall performance issues.Develop and deliver on COGS reduction initiatives.Run risk management program with assigned suppliers, incl. RCCMs when needed.Build and actively maintain relationships with sourcing colleagues in other Thermo Fisher sites as well as other departments (R&D, Operations, Quality, Finance and Legal), which include setting up and leading Supplier Account Teams.

NPI management:

Liaise with Sourcing Project Leader ("SPL") for NPI project teams to secure supply chain decisions that are in line with procurement and BU strategyContribute to the execution of Make/Buy Decisions, Supply Chain Design, Suppliers Selection process, contracting, and Material Cost Management, volume rump up and risk buy within the projects.Support risk buys by site operations purchasing teamInitiate ramp-up planning with suppliersContribute to value chain optimization

Education:

University degree (preferably in Mechanics/Electronics/Business/Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management) or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills.

Experience:

Robust project management background capable to manage on time, quality and cost aspects of projects, preferably demonstrated by relevant Project Management certifications.10 years of experience of which at least 5 years in the field of Purchasing or NPI project management, preferably in the high-tech industry.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Preferably trained in specialized Procurement skills including leading negotiationGood interpersonal communicative skills, with understanding of influencing without powerCollaboration and Teamwork; ability to work in high-pressure cross-functional settingsBuilding and maintaining relationshipsHands on, self-propelling person with a natural drive for resultsProblem solving and analysis (Lean certifications are a pre)Continuous quality and performance ImprovementDisciplined, solid in reporting to executive levelExcellent English language skills (verbal and in writing)
