Divisional Risk Advisor, Senior Specialist

Vanguard Global Risk & Security (GR&S) is seeking a Senior Risk Advisor to support Vanguard's retirement business division, the Institutional Investor Group (IIG). This Senior Risk Advisor will advise business leaders regarding risks related to data governance, AI/ML initiatives, and IT transformation projects for the IIG division. This role will partner with the business to identify and remediate top digital risks, establish risk tolerance, and ensure risks are properly mitigated. Responsibilities: + Analyze digital risks to the business and apply risk methodology to those risks. Be accountable for the timely completion of risk projects and ensuring the risk work is creating the desired outcomes. + Partner with IT Risk, Information Security, Legal, and Compliance teams to develop a comprehensive view of digital risk to the business. + Maintain an in-depth understanding of Vanguard and the Institutional Investor Group (IIG) business. Independently stay informed of industry trends and developments to maintain strong business- and risk-acumen. Share learnings and perspective with the risk team and business partners. + Support technology initiatives for IIG from a risk perspective including AI/ML initiatives and IT modernization projects. + Apply and maintain a data risk governance framework in partnership with IIG’s Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO). Qualifications: + Minimum of eight years related work experience. + Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
