\r\n\r\nVolt is immediately hiring for A Maintenance Lab Technician I in Southgate CA.
\r\n\r\nAs a Maintenance Lab Technician I you will:
\r\n\r\nsetup and operate standard and custom test equipment to conduct specimen testing according to specifications, while meeting Safety, Quality, Productivity and other standards.
\r\n\r\nPrimary Duties & Responsibilities:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\tComply with PCC Code of Conduct Requirements and all PCC Cardinal Rules (e.g., Quality and Safety).\r\n\tWork safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.\r\n\tInterpret customer prints and specifications for testing procedures.\r\n\tSelect the proper fixturing and testing equipment for testing products.\r\n\tSet up and operate standard and custom test equipment including microscopes, Instron type force equipment, vibration, mechanical shock, and other mechanical lab-related test equipment.\r\n\tConduct tests, analyzes data and documents results; participates in test readiness reviews.\r\n\tConduct product evaluation and performance analysis. Establish performance and reliability of the products being tested.\r\n\tDemonstrated ability to follow work procedures for every specimen tested; cannot deviate from work standards.\r\n\tDemonstrated ability and willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities such as cross-training and testing in other labs.\r\n\tGood housekeeping of lab area and equipment, and always a safety-first attitude.\r\n\tTroubleshoot and resolve laboratory and test-related problems. Escalate when needed.\r\n\tPeriodically check and evaluate in-process procedures.\r\n\tAll other duties as assigned.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Education and Experience:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\tHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.\r\n\tA technical degree or certification is highly preferred but not required.\r\n\t1+ years of relevant experience in a laboratory.\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAn effective technical aptitude along with the ability to work independently, yet interact closely with other departments, customers, and vendors.\r\n\tAbility to analyze test data.\r\n\tAbility and willingness to adapt and be flexible to an ever-changing growth environment. \r\n\tHigh attention to detail.\r\n\tAbility to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on deadline.\r\n\tBe willing to research, evaluate and train new process methods.\r\n\tProficient Windows/MS user.\r\n\tDemonstrated ability to operate mechanical test equipment and environmental test chambers.\r\n\tDemonstrated ability to read and understand industry standards and apply appropriate test methods accordingly.\r\n\tDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization.\r\n\tDemonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and respond to competing priority demands.\r\n\tDemonstrated ability to keep a working lab neat and organized.\r\n\tDemonstrated ability to work well with others and take direction.\r\n\tCustomer focused, service attitude, high sense of urgency.\r\n\tDisciplined and self-directed, process focused approach to managing personal workload.\r\n\tKnowledge of PC-based statistical analysis software preferred.\r\n\tKnowledge of contact physics preferred.\r\n\tAbility to perform light assembly operations including hand soldering preferred.\r\n\tDemonstrated knowledge of failure analysis preferred.\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tManufacturing and laboratory environments. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.\r\n\r\n\r\n*** Job will begin on the 1st shift (5-6am start time) for cross-training purposes. Cross training will last 2-6wks. The employee will then transfer to the 3rd shift (8-9pm start time). ***
\r\n\r\nPay rate: $19- $34.75 Hourly.
