POSITION DETAILS

Job Title: DME Manager

Status: This is a full-time, year-round, benefits eligible position.

Classification: Exempt - Salary

Schedule: M-F

Location: This position is primarily based at our Vail location with some travel required to Frisco, Edwards, Basalt & Aspen.

Pay Range: $65,000-$75,000 DOE


DME MANAGER OVERVIEW:

The DME (Durable Medical Equipment) Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of our DME department including managing the distribution, and inventory of medical equipment, ensuring high-quality equipment and fitting services for our orthopaedic patients, and adherence to industry regulations.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage daily operations of the DME department, including staff supervision and workflow optimization.Oversee inventory management and distribution of all DME supplies for use in the clinic.Ensure adequate inventory levels to include purchasing, pricing, stocking, ordering and processing of equipment and supplies.Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and tracking of equipment.Utilizing BREG workflow management software, maintain efficient systems for receiving and recording shipments and for follow-up related to discrepancies or replacements.Review consistency of quality of products to minimize the variation of product.Monitor unnecessary or inefficient stock piling of supplies.Train and mentor staff on best practices in DME management and customer service.Collaborate with healthcare providers to assess patient needs and ensure appropriate equipment provision.Address and resolve any customer inquiries or issues related to DME services.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to medical equipment.

Requirements

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven experience in DME management, and/or inventory experience or a similar role within the healthcare industry. (3-5 years preferred)Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Proficient in inventory management systems and software.Strong knowledge of medical equipment and regulatory requirements including insurance billing procedures.Excellent leadership and team management skills.
