We have an exciting career opportunity for a Project Manager in GA-ASI’s DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources &Material Shortages) team located in Poway, CA. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage multiple DMSMS projects including specific obsolescence issue resolution activities, as well as DMSMS process development/improvement projects. The ideal candidate will have experience leading similar efforts for an aerospace or defense manufacturing company. With limited direction, this candidate must be able to leverage previous DMSMS experience in combination with strong Project Management, communication, and multi-tasking skills in order to achieve results.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Develops and manages resolution strategies for multiple concurrent obsolescence issues considering technical and non-technical mitigation options, products/customers impacted, funding/contracting strategies, and supply posture analysis.
+ Coordinates with existing Program Management Offices and cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of resolution strategies.
+ Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to team members working on assigned project.
+ Monitors and manages DMSMS resolution activities for cost/schedule/technical performance to critical requirements and delivery goals.
+ Leads in the identification, development, and execution of DMSMS process.
+ Provides inputs and supports negotiations for DMSMS activity, such as BOEs and DMS language, in various development, production, and sustainment proposals and contracts.
+ Communicates status and impacts of DMSMS activities to stakeholders, customers, and executive management.
+ Serves as a primary customer focal point for DMSMS and leads customer Obsolescence Working Groups.
+ Supports development of part demand forecasts for last-time-buy execution and run-out analysis.
+ Creates progress reports and risk analysis documentation.
+ Identifies and assesses project issues and develops recommendations for solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
+ Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
+ Manage the development of and ensure the security of proprietary technology and maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
+ Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating practices and procedures.

**Job Qualifications:**
+ Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and eleven or more years of progressively complex experience in the project administration field with at least five of those years in project management. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
+ Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.
+ Must possess the ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects
+ The ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of non-routine matters of diverse scope and nature
+ Strong analytical, communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
+ Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task across several projects at once
+ Able to work independently and lead in a team environment.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance is required.
