RMG Medical Assistants, under the supervision of a licensed Medical Provider, are to assist the Medical Provider with providing patients with the highest standards of medical care.

Essential Generic Job Functions:

1. Prepares the patient for the Medical Provider's examination by obtaining vital signs and patient history

2. Prepares and maintains the examination and treatment areas

3. Prepares the patient for and assisting with the examination

4. Prepares the patient for and assisting with procedures and treatments

5. Maintains medication and immunization records

6. Performs sterilization techniques

7. Performs an inventory of supplies and equipment

8. Understands proper function and care of special equipment

9. Performs routine maintenance and calibration of administrative and clinical equipment

10. Administers vaccines and other injections where applicable

11. Organizes and maintains medical records

12. Cooperates with other RMG employees to achieve specific team goals

13. To the extent requested by the Medical Provider, RMG Medical Assistants are also responsible for certain follow-up with patients, such as ensuring specialist appointments are scheduled and referrals are prepared

14. All RMG employees are expected to keep abreast of current medical requirements relevant to their position, which includes maintaining patient confidentiality and abiding by all HIPPA and OSHA requirements

15. Assist with front desk duties when needed

16. Other duties as assigned
- High school education or equivalent experience.
1. High school diploma or equivalent

2. MA Diploma (preferred)

3. MA Certification (preferred and may be required in certain specialties)

a. If uncertified and it is required, RMG provides a 90-day period from hire date to obtain certification

b. If the 90-day period is not met, then the employee will be required to change job roles and be redeployed to a different office/specialty per business need

4. Related experience preferred

5. Basic computer and word-processing skills

6. Willing to travel

7. Bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese) preferred but not required

8. Flexibility with schedule.
