Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Patent Docketing Coordinator for a national law firm client.
This role involves managing and tracking deadlines and schedules for patent applications and related processes, ensuring compliance with critical filing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage key deadlines for patent filings, office action responses, and maintenance fees to ensure timely compliance.Maintain and update the patent docketing system/database with accurate and up-to-date information on applications, filings, and correspondence.Generate reminders for upcoming deadlines and communicate these to patent attorneys and clients.Organize and file patent-related documents, including applications, office actions, and correspondence.Facilitate effective communication with patent attorneys, clients, and patent offices to ensure the timely exchange of information.Verify and maintain the accuracy of docketing records, including tracking deadlines and case status updates.Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing reports, managing workflows, and tracking case progress.Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.Minimum of 3 years of experience as a patent docketing coordinator.Familiarity with CPI software is preferred.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Basic computer proficiency.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).Work Environment:
Standard office setting with occasional extended hours, as needed.Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
