Doctrine and Policy Analyst
Amentum is seeking a **Doctrine and Policy Analyst** to join our FT Belvoir, VA JPRA team. The successful candidate will translate strategic national objectives and Combatant Command and Service requirements into the formulation of Personnel Recovery policy and doctrine for development of joint tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP). **Main Responsibilities:** + Support the JPRA J7/9 during the revision process of all Personnel Recovery Publication such as Joint Publication (JP) 3-50, Personnel Recovery, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) instructions and manuals as well as DoD issuances. + Ensure partner nation PR doctrine and policies are consistent with US publications. + Develop/revise PR-related DoD policy recommendations for submission concerning reviews of new and/or updated DoD PR related Directives, Instructions and other policy documents. Discuss relevant issues with JPRA leadership and provide formal comment or recommendations for submission. + Review and comment on non-PR doctrinal publications for consistency and accurate portrayal of PR doctrinal principles. + Conduct maintenance reviews of JS assigned publications for doctrinal consistency with PR doctrine and provide formal comment and/or recommendations for submission through the Joint Doctrine Development Tool (JDDT). + Review Service level PR-related doctrine publications to ensure compatibility with Joint doctrine publications and procedures. Assist JPRA to develop and recommend joint PR doctrine, publications, and capabilities to the JS. + Joint Publication revisions consist of JP outline development, writing of chapter content, staffing support and coordination, technical review assistance, and facilitating necessary working groups with PR OPRs, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands and Services representatives. Assist the JPRA J7/9 and other directorates through each stage of the JP revision cycle towards final approval/publication. + Provide input and analysis for the Joint Staff Lessons Learned Doctrine, Operations, Training, Material, Leadership, Personnel, and Facilities (DOTMLPF) Change Recommendation (LLDCR) process. + Review JPRA produced training and education curriculum documents for doctrinal accuracy and consistency. Support JPRA training directorate exercise activities when needed. + Support the experimentation directorate during certain Joint- or Service-level tests, evaluations, or experiments involving PR if needed. + Provide input to the Joint Staff, when applicable **Minimum Qualifications:** + **Must have an Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top-Secret Clearance.** + Bachelor’s degree in business, operations research, law, or related field. + 4 years’ experience or PRETC trained in a personnel recovery (PR) related field of expertise. (e.g. PR OPR, JPRC, SERE specialist) + Minimum 6 years demonstrated knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at the Joint Staff and combatant command level. + Knowledge in JS organization, and JS staffing procedures + Knowledge in PR service and joint level doctrine, field manuals, and policies. + Experience in Microsoft applications. + Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment. + Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. **Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:** This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act.
