Document Control Coordinator

The Document Control Coordinator is located in Pickering and typically reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager. This is a vital support role within the Quality Assurance department as a central hub for departmental support functions. This position contributes significantly to the continuous improvement processes and is dedicated to maintaining the highest service quality excellence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains and updates electronic engineering and project filing tracking system and performs quality checks on documents to verify completeness and conformity to document standards/ requirements.Creates, updates, scans, and maintains files, inventories, records, and other engineering and project documents as neededCoordinates with different departments to facilitate the document control process.Confers with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and compile required changes to documentsOther functions as assigned by the QA Manager

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

A Secondary Education Diploma would be beneficial in this position but not mandatory.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

3+ years of Administrative and/or Document Control experience is considered an asset.Must have experience in Microsoft Office including expert knowledge in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Experience in an office environment utilizing general office equipment such as photocopiers, scanners, printers, faxes and shredders.Experience with VenDM is considered an assetAbility to follow detailed directions in a fast-paced environment, taking requests from many people at varying levels of authority.Experience in an engineering consulting firm is considered an asset.
