General Purpose of the Position:

 

As a Document Control Coordinator at Tutor Perini Corp, you will be responsible for processing administrative, engineer and construction documents to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reproduction and release.  Assists with the daily operation of support services for the project office. This includes performing tasks that include, but are not limited to:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain up-to-date control records, documenting receipt of service requests, document and revision number, original distribution, revised distributions and transmittal dates. Assist in supervising and/or training department personnel. Assist in conducting internal audits and inspections to ensure department work is performed correctly, efficiently and cost consciously. Assist in preparation/review of work procedure and standards documents. Compile various monthly department reports. Perform copying and printing functions as required by work conditions. Operate reproduction equipment such as blueprint, high speed copiers, offset printing devices, etc. to produce legible documents. Operate other equipment, i.e. padding machine binding, folding machine, paper cutter to produce document packages per instructions from requestor. Coordinate documentation requirements between company personnel, as well as Architect, Engineer and client. Ensure documents files are maintained correctly. Assign proper file index to all incoming/outgoing documents.  Ensure accuracy and completeness of all controlled documents, maintain files as required. Assist in preparing document transmittal forms, distribute completed documents and perform other routine functions as workload requires. Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

 

Requirements:

 

3 or more years’ experience in construction and general office administration. Working knowledge of general office procedures - scanning, copying, filing and detail oriented. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Adobe). Experience with Contract Management Software – Procore or equivalent. Experience drafting Transmittals, drafting RFIs, etc. Must be able to execute expectations of employer and project requirement. Good verbal and written communication skills. A “team-player” mentality. Ability to keep clear and accurate records and reports. Ability to use computer and rapidly input data and retrieve records and information. Ability to organize work load and to manage a filing methods and management techniques. Adapts well to changing plans and priorities and demonstrates excellent time-management skills. Knowledge of Engineering disciplines like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc. (preferred)

 

Expected salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 depending on experience.
