Document Control Coordinator
You are a document control coordinator, who will be overseeing the receipt, maintenance, control, and distribution of project documents. You will ensure the project team is compliant with creation, storage, and distribution of all project documents. You are a problem solver and continuously look for innovative solutions that can be utilized on projects.

Essential Responsibilities

Assists in developing and implementing project-specific document control standards and procedures in accordance with organizational and contractual requirements. Provides recommendations to support improved efficiency in document control procedures and practicesPerforms routine compliance checks of project documents on EDMSOversees the organization and maintenance of all project documents and records, delegating responsibilities to team members and providing guidance and mentorship to the teamAssists project teams with EDMS (Electronic Document Management System) configuration based on project requirementsProvides initial training to new subcontractors and project team members on EDMS functionality and procedures - provides ongoing training and support as required

Qualifications

2+ years in a document control role, ideally with experience in relevant industry, experience supporting the construction and engineering design teamsStrong computer background including experience with PowerPoint, Word, Excel; experience with electronic document management softwareExperience using Document Management software platforms.  Experience with Aconex software is an asset.Ability to manage time effectively and provide solutions to atypical problems based on proven practices or proceduresStrong written and verbal communication skillsConfident operating in a client-facing role and the ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders
