Document Control Specialist
Document Control Specialist   The Document Control Specialist is part of the Document Preparation operations team. This role performs a detailed review and analysis of standard incoming loan documentation requests for multiple lines of business across all bank markets. This position is the liaison and single point of contact for the lending groups and/or Corporate Legal. It provides direction to the Document Preparers and Quality Reviewers to coordinate the preparation of loan documents. These Loan requests contain varying levels of complexity which includes loans secured by various types of collateral such as: real estate, all assets, vhcles, and marketable securities. The position provides expertise for each loan request to ensure accurate and complete loan documentation packages.   Position Responsibilities: Handling of detailed review and analysis of incoming loan documentation requests for multiple lines of business across the Bank (e.g. approval requirements, entity documentation, title commitments etc.). Understands and maintains knowledge of legal and regulatory guidelines, written credit and lending policies, applicable federal regulations and state laws to assess risk and documentation requirements relative to commercial and consumer loan documentation requests. Provide direction to the Document Preparers and Quality Reviewers to ensure the appropriate documents are prepared in accordance with the loan approval and/or instructions from Corporate Legal. Perform Document Preparer, Quality Reviewer or Due Diligence role activities based on business needs. Partner and effectively communicate with department colleagues, Loan Closing, corporate legal and third parties, including identification and resolution of potential roadblocks. Assists with department training of processes and procedures, and provides ongoing guidance to Document Preparers and Quality Reviewers on commercial and consumer loan documentation. Completes regulatory activities to ensure compliance to regulations. Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or 4 years relevant experience in Business, Finance or related degree OR 5 years financial industry experience, including the handling of consumer, commercial and/or commercial real estate loan documentation
5 years of experience handling regulatory issues including perfection and recording requirements 3 years of experience working with mainframe systems, vendor based systems, Microsoft Office 3 years of experience in analysis 3 years of experience in customer service in person and virtually
