Job Description
Our Caresland facility requires a Document Control Specialist to manage our newly implemented EDMS system. This position requires on-site presence three days a week from Tuesday to Thursday. The Document Control Specialist will serve as the main point of contact for all incoming documents from engineering firms working with us. The ideal candidate should be adept at handling concurrent engineering changes within the EDMS system. This role is a long-term contract opportunity.
ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain the EDMS system.Serve as the main point of contact for all documents from engineering companies.Handle concurrent engineering changes and ensure proper integration of modifications.Deal with P&IDs, site standards, operating procedures, and design documents.Enforce document control procedures and ensure compliance.Collaborate with various departments to manage document control effectively.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in document control.Experience in using and improving an EDMS system.Experience dealing with P&IDs, site standards, operating procedures, and design documents.Experience working with engineering firms and associated documentation.Ability to manage concurrent engineering changes.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Vault/AutoDesk for drawing management and native files.Experience with OpenText for document repository management.Records management certificate (nice to have).Experience updating title blocks in AutoCad (nice to have).Librarian diploma (nice to have).Exposure to ABSA audit documentation (nice to have).Work Environment
The position reports to the Capital Portfolio Superintendent and involves collaboration with 12-15 stakeholders across various departments including maintenance, operations, finance, technical, and supply chain. The role is based at the Caresland facility, requiring a minimum of three days in the office from Tuesday to Thursday. During turnaround periods, hours may increase but are limited.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00
