Job Description
Ensure quality and regulatory documentation and information is maintained throughout the entire production process. Maintain and validate all quality and regulatory documentation on a daily basis to ensure everything is in order and compliant.
ResponsibilitiesAddress quality issues and determine the root cause of the issue to provide the correct CAPA is applied.Respond to customer issues/complaints to fix quality issues and investigate issues.Plan, conduct, and correct any and all internal and external audits.Maintain the entirety of the quality management system including SOPs, Change Orders, Electronic documentation systems, Regulatory information, etc.Manage and maintain their food safety plan, HACCP system, FSSC, ISO 9001, etc.Train other personnel on all quality standards and food safety plans, HACCP plans, quality systems, etc.Ensure all raw material specifications and customer specifications are documented, verify that these specifications are met through production and quality personnel, etc.Provide support as needed when additional laboratory testing is needed such as going into the lab to help with lab work if anyone is out or there is an increased workload.Essential SkillsQuality assuranceDocumentation reviewQuality auditStrong QA Documentation Maintain and update all SOPsQuality documentationAssist with all Audits (FSSC, SOPs, Internal/External Audits, etc.)Additional Skills & QualificationsLaboratory TestingEnvironmental MonitoringBatch Record ReviewBatch AdjustmentsWet ChemistryChemistryQuality ControlQuality AssuranceQuality DocumentationQuality AuditFSSCFood SafetyHACCPCAPANCRRCAISOChempaxWork Environment
This is a 1st shift, Monday through Friday role. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. but there can be overtime if the workload requires it. This person will be working with every level of the organization including quality personnel, regulatory, operations/production personnel, customers, suppliers, etc. They need to be able to work well with others. 90-95% of this person's day is handling QA functions and managing/maintaining/updating the quality systems that are in place. They will have to spend 5-10% in other areas as needed. This person will fill in for the QA folks when they are out and will need to step in when needed.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $70000.00

Health and Dental Coverage - $159 per year for over $10,000 work of coverage (fully covered health for single or family coverage)
