Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Document Control Specialist to join our team and support operational excellence by managing and maintaining document workflows using Propel PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software. In this role, the Document Control Specialist will collaborate with various departments, including engineering, production, and quality control, to facilitate the implementation of new products and releases into our operational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Document Management:
Maintain and control company documents, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and availability in Propel PLM.Oversee the creation, revision, approval, and archival processes for technical documents, engineering drawings, procedures, and work instructions.Monitor and enforce document control standards and policies across the organization.Propel PLM Administration:
Act as the primary administrator for Propel PLM, providing technical support and training to team members.Configure and optimize Propel PLM workflows to improve document handling efficiency.Troubleshoot issues within the Propel PLM platform and liaise with vendors or IT as necessary.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with engineering, quality assurance, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate documentation for product launches and updates.Facilitate audits by maintaining organized and easily accessible document repositories.Compliance and Best Practices:
Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards, regulations, and internal quality policies.Drive continuous improvement initiatives for document control processes.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.2+ years of experience in document control, preferably within a technology or manufacturing environment.Proficiency with Propel PLM or similar PLM systems (e.g., Agile, Arena).Strong understanding of document management best practices and standards.Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams.
