Document Control Specialist
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Document Control Specialist to join the team of a large Oil and Gas client in the Woodlands, Tx. The Document Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing the entire document lifecycle, ensuring compliance with established guidelines, policies, and procedures. This role involves training and assisting personnel on document requirements, providing support and troubleshooting as needed. The specialist acts as the primary contact for new requests related to features, functionality, or workflows, and serves as a liaison between internal customers and DT teams to facilitate various requests and projects. Additionally, the role ensures consistent document management across all projects, maintaining strict control and traceability from project initiation to completion. This person must be willing to work a hybrid schedule. Skills and Requirements 5+ years of experience working as a Document Control Specialist Experience with large-scale Document Control Software (OpenText and/or Documentum preferred). Proven document control practices: Transmittals, Version Control, Stacking, Classifications, Retention & Disposition. Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proactive problem-solving and strong decision-making skills. Professional verbal and written communication. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards. Ability to operate standard office equipment (computer, printer, copier, scanner, etc.).
