Document Controller
Aplin has partnered with a large defense contractor to hire a Document Controller. As part of the Project Management team, you will manage project control processes and assist with supporting senior staff on larger projects. You will manage, control, and track electronic documentation during production engineering. You will maintain data across spreadsheets and toolsets and ensure proper permissions and security markings for document sharing.

Responsibilities:Handle basic project reporting and scheduling tasks.Resolve routine queries and simple problems.Develop knowledge of business processes and procedures.Perform general administrative tasks, including spreadsheet management and use of Microsoft tools.Participate in on-the-job training as needed.Support the development and application of tailored Project Control practices.Follow safety, health, and environmental (SHE) policies, including hazard reporting and proper equipment use.Adhere to company Health & Safety and Environmental policies.Qualifications:
No formal project management qualification required, but progress toward certifications like APM Fundamentals is encouraged.Basic understanding of Project Control policies, processes, and tools.Familiarity with the business environment and governance practices like Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs).Some experience working with stakeholders within the company.Problem-solving in familiar business situations under supervision.Ability to gather and analyze information to support solutions.Understand how your team fits into larger project goals.Work accurately within standard procedures, contributing to team effectiveness.Take responsibility for your performance and development.Communicate clearly, even in challenging situations.
