Document Processing Clerk
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Document Processing Clerk in The Woodlands, Texas. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing legal requests related to customer accounts, ensuring adherence to bank and legal requirements. You will also be the main point of contact for various internal and external parties, including customers, branches, agencies, and attorneys. Responsibilities • Interpret and review legal orders for accurate comprehension of instructions provided. • Process and approve legal documentation related to customer accounts and banking transactions, referencing relevant laws and regulations. • Prepare and submit bank responses to legal requests to courts, attorneys, and agencies, and inform customers by mail of actions taken. • Assist with the intake of legal requests within the department, creating cases for electronic tracking and management. • Provide exceptional customer service to various parties including customers, branches, agencies, and attorneys. • Conduct necessary research and process account holds and releases, payments, invoices, and processing fees as needed. • Monitor requests to ensure they are processed in time to meet court dates and state regulations, documenting case progress and maintaining electronic record of payments and additional documentation received. • Serve as the primary contact for courts, attorneys, state, and government agencies for legal requests related to customer accounts. • Perform additional job-related duties or special projects as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat for document creation, editing, and management • Familiarity with the Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) for handling property records • Experience with Case Management Software for tracking and managing legal cases • Proficiency in using Conveyancer software for real estate transactions • Knowledge of Cyberbahn for corporate and legal searches • Ability to conduct briefings and present complex information in an understandable manner • Experience in claim administration, including processing and managing claims • Skill in complaint handling, effectively resolving customer issues and preventing escalation • Understanding of court proceedings and ability to support related administrative tasks • Experience in drafting contracts, ensuring legal compliance and accuracy.
