The Imaging Department at AltaPointe provides documents to the physicians and their staff accurately and with timely efficiency so that our consumers and their families receive the highest level of care. Imaging work requires great attention to detail, time management, and a giving attitude while working on a team.  

 

Responsibilities

Document preparation

Retrieve and prepare documents for imagingSort and consolidate documents into logical groups for scan processingPrepare documents with separator pagesVisually inspect documents for clarity of writingEnsure batches do not exceed recommended pages per batchSort batches into efficient workflows for document scanners

Document imaging

While using scanner, ensure proper image process is usedMatch document count to scan count to ensure all documents have been imagedCorrect any paper or scanner jammingValidate documents for proper case numbers and datesEdit the case numbers and dates to match paper documentsElectronically push corrected batches to server for saving

Coordinate daily imaging operations

Operate within the guidelines for daily operations per defined proceduresWork with other department personnel to ensure proper document transportParticipate in the evaluation process for the creation of document imaging proceduresEnsure that established deadlines and quality management is maintainedEnsure documents scanned are grouped accordinglySecure documents that are not scanned

Other MIS duties that may be assigned include the following:

Work as backup to the E.M.R. initiative for help desk services and profile assignment for end usersParticipate in MIS team meetings and initiativesParticipate on committees deemed necessary to support standards and accreditationsAssist in providing other training for MISPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Administrative and other related duties as assigned

Actively participates in Performance Improvement activitiesActively participates in AHS committees as requestedCompletes assigned tasks in a timely mannerTreats consumers, visitor and co-workers with dignity and respectWorks in a cooperative manner with other AHS employeesFollows AHS policies and procedures

Physical Requirements of the Job:  Lift 40 lbs.

Qualifications

Two years experience working in an office setting; experience using document imaging and business office applications, and automated medical record systems preferred; self-motivator, organized, and ability to work independently. 

Must have high school diploma or GED
