We are currently searching for a savvy Documentation Control Assistant to support the Amentum Space Exploration Division (ASED). This person will collaborate with ASED personnel to maintain an effective Quality Management System (QS). The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail is essential. You will be highly engaged and essential to the success of the Quality System and our Performance Management Office. This position is part-time. 

Responsibilities and Requirements\:

Coordinate the preparation, review, and release of quality system documentation revisions. Facilitate semi-monthly Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings. Create and update content in various file formats, including an in-house developed application. Maintain department content on the company intranet portal, including sub-sites for the Quality System, the CCB, and internal audit. Support ad-hoc events to include company meetings, all hands and corporate events. Other duties as assigned. *

Qualifications

Associates degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or an appropriate discipline  plus a minimum of two (2) years of appropriate experience, or the combination of both education and experience to total at least four (4) years is required. Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. 

Required\:

Experience maintaining quality management system documentation or similar content
High proficiency with Microsoft Office software
Able to learn and adapt to new software
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) in English
Able to speak, read, and write proficiently in English
Possess good creative thinking, problem solving, planning, time-management and organization skills to balance and prioritize work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
Able to self-motivate, accept responsibilities, complete assigned action items, professional communication, and participate in a proactive manner
Able to work independently when required

Preferred\:

Familiar with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive Familiar with intranet software such as Noodle
Familiar with basic HTML

Essential Functions

Work Environment\: 

Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Requires travel in the domestic USA (< 5%).  

Physical Requirements\:

Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk to perform tasks (80%). Requires ability to use stairs or elevators for access between floors and multiple buildings at NASA and Amentum facilities (10%). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.

Equipment and Machines\: 

Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, fax machine, copier, calculator, and other general office equipment (100%).

Attendance\: 

Regular attendance to meet schedule milestones and to support demands of the job in accordance with established work schedule is critical. The position is part-time not to exceed 24 hours a week.

Other Essential Functions\:

 

The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and to make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment is essential (100%). Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
