What You Will Do:

Build and develop analytics based on financial data to provide management with data to make decisions, support the client in preparing journal vouchers to include reliable analysis, be able to explain the impact of the data, develop solutions to identified issues to present to the client, collaborate with other teams as needed to develop complete analysis and clear deficiencies identified, research flux variances and provide responses, develop footnote disclosure support as needed.


What You Will Need:

An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance

Bachelor's degree in accounting or business management related field from an accredited institution.

FOUR (4) years of accounting or financial experience, including supervising and directing efforts of staff Financial statement audit experience or preparation of assertion packages.

TWO (2) years of work in various financial systems,

TWO (2) years building queries, databases and/or macros,

Experience with Federal Financials, Microsoft Applications or other readily available software (Excel and Access)

Ability to travel as needed 20-40%


What Would Be Nice To Have:

A minimum of 20 CPE credits each fiscal year and 120 CPE credits over a three-year rolling period.

Familiarity with Real Property financial regulations is a plus.

Independently research anomalies and errors in data. Develop and present reports for leadership

Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders; document processes; and effectively communicate

GAAP / GAGAS / ICOFR experience OMB Circulars A-123, A-127, A-134, A-136 and other OMB policies.

FASAB, SSAC, and SFFAS experience.

DoD and Air Force financial management policies and procedures.

Air Force policies, systems and procedures for personnel, acquisition, inventory, property and material management.

Familiarity with JOCAS and FMS CPA, CIA, CISA, CDFM, or CGFM.

Knowledge of the internal audit process (OMB A-123) from documentation and testing of the Process Cycle Memo to testing of internal controls.

Ability to develop test plans and perform testing over a variety of samples.

Ability to draft summary reports based on testing results.

Ability to follow through to complete deliverables/work products timely,

2-4 years of work in various financial systems.

Building queries, databases and/or macros, leveraging Data Analytics

Federal Financial Business process awareness

Ability to develop macros, code, and build solutions on applications,

Ability to read and interpret federal regulations,

Strong communication experience,

Ability to coordinate with stakeholders,

Ability to follow through to complete deliverables/work products and track and report progress,

Ability to research and develop solutions to data quality issues identified through analysis,

Knowledge of the audit cycle.

Federal Financial Business process awareness,

Budgetary to proprietary account relationship knowledge.
