Our DOD client in Moorestown, New Jersey, is seeking a highly motivated Senior System Administrator to join their innovative and industry-leading team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-known company that values innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Lead technical projects, document results, and observations to drive ongoing improvements. Perform hands-on tasks with Linux servers and desktops. Address escalated support tickets, diagnosing issues related to software, hardware, and networking. Maintain Linux systems and install necessary software. Set up IT hardware, services, configurations, directories, and storage to meet standards and project requirements. Apply monthly security patches as needed. Develop and maintain detailed documentation for installation, setup, and issue resolution. Manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities based on customer needs. Provide proactive support to management on technology strategies, process improvements, and implementations. Monitor the performance and health of laboratories, assist users, and enforce IT policies. Develop operational procedures for lab use and support, identifying opportunities for process enhancement, tool improvement, and automation. Contribute to the vision and strategy for non-production environments and assist in their implementation. Install and set up AFMS products in lab environments (both on-premises and in the cloud) and at customer locations.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience. U.S. citizenship required to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance. 5-7 years of related experience. Experience with various server types (web, file, license, application, etc.). Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, PERL, etc.). Experience with RHEL-based Linux distributions. Experience with automation tools (Ansible preferred, Terraform a plus). Familiarity with VMware vCenter and vSphere v6.5 or newer. Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous. Knowledge of networking and TCP/IP. Understanding of patch management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to provide excellent customer service and manage multiple concurrent tasks. Ability to interact with users in a pleasant and tactful manner. Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn new IT technologies.
