DoD SAP ERP Consultant
Kearney & Company is seeking a highly skilled SAP ERP Consultant to join our team supporting one of the Federal government’s largest agencies! Duties include but are not limited to: Investigating and analyzing unmatched transaction errors within the SAP ERP system, pinpointing root causes and identifying corrective actions. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and IT, to understand transaction workflows and error origins. Demonstrating excellent writing and communication skills as significant time is spent drafting/updating communication artifacts (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures, Desktop Guides, white papers). Documenting error resolution steps and outcomes to support knowledge sharing and process improvement. Developing and maintaining user guides, FAQs, and other resources to aid in understanding and addressing unmatched transaction issues. Providing training and support to end-users on SAP ERP transaction processing and error resolution techniques. Demonstrating strong customer service skills and the ability to work in occasional high-pressure situations with short deadlines. Directing and reviewing the work of Senior Associates. Communicating status of project-related tasks to Team Lead and client. Qualifications BA/BS/BBA degree from an accredited college/university Four (4) years of progressive, relevant SAP experience Experience working with the DoD Ability to travel up to 25% Ability to obtain and maintain an U.S. Secret (or higher, such as Top Secret or TS/SCI) security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship) Preferred Qualifications: Experience researching and resolving unmatched transactions within Navy ERP Experience working with DoD’s Advanced Analytics (Advana) platform Experience working with DoD collection and disbursing operations Ability to independently research data reconciling variances Highly proficient skills in MS Excel Experience with SQL, Python, and Databricks for data querying and scripting CPA or eligibility to sit for CPA certification Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other professional certification. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
