Learn the Gateway Vehicle System Manager (VSM) Software Requirements Specification Develop an intimate knowledge of the system design Collaborate with the software development team Learn to plan software testing and verification activities Learn to design and implement automated test procedures Learn to work in an Agile, fast-paced environment

NOTE\: SkillBridge interns will not be eligible for any compensation during their internship, as they will continue to receive all military pay and benefits. Here's What You'll Need\:

To have served at least 180 days in any of the U.S. Armed Forces To be within 180 days of separation or retirement from any of the U.S. Armed Forces (you may start your application prior to the 180 days) Must be on track to receive an Honorable Discharge Must have taken any service TAPS/TGPS Must have attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months Must have command approval to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program

Ideally, you'll have\:

Computer Science or Engineering degree or equivalent work experience Experience with software testing and verification Proficiency with C/C coding in a Linux environment Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python Experience with agile software development Experience with web-based collaboration tools Experience with Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, git, slack, SharePoint Excellent communication, negotiation and coordination skills and strong customer service attitude Self-starter who can understand and absorb new concepts quickly

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

Attendance

Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.

Other Essential Functions

Professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
