Position Overview:

Sargent and Lundy is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented DOE&I Coordinator to assist the Director of Engineering & Innovation (DOE&I) in managing and executing projects and initiatives that enhance the company's technical capabilities. The DOE&I Coordinator will play a critical role in implementing strategies, ensuring operational efficiencies, and driving innovation within the organization. This role requires strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Support strategic initiatives including developing and executing strategies to build technical capabilities, enter new markets, and implement operational efficiencies.Coordinate the development and launch of new business and engineering tools and processes.

Support the DOE&I in the execution of various areas including:

Processes and standards oversightTechnical conference and training oversightQuality & Performance Improvement ProcessTraining and Development Application StrategiesDrive innovationSpecial Initiatives and Cross-Departmental CoordinationEngineering and Design Tools Coordination Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field10-15+ years of engineering experience in a power-related field2-5 years of experience in project management and schedulingProven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailCapable of strategic thinking and problem-solvingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to travel (less than 10% for local candidate)

Valued but not requited skills and experience:

Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP) or related fields.Experience with specific engineering software or tools relevant to the industry.Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in the power sector.Previous experience in an innovation-focused role or environment.

Work Location:

Preferably based in the Downtown Chicago office three days per week. Remote work is an option for the right candidate who is willing to travel to Chicago and other Sargent & Lundy offices for regularly scheduled meetings approximately once per month.
