DoN Deputy Program Manager

We are caring, results driven, and strive to provide a meaningful work experience.  ELS is the prime contractor for the associated Small Business Set-Aside (SBSA), Professional Support Services contract.  SBSA/PSS include: Acquisition & Program Management; Business & Financial Management; and Configuration & Data Management. Job summary: The subject position supports NAVSEA’s PEO USC new construction program office (PMS 515) for the construction of CONSTELLATION Class Guided Missile Frigate (FFG 62). Description: Programs are typically large, multi-year efforts divided into several sub-programs/tasks. Program Managers are also responsible for the overall program definition, organization, and direction of short and long range plans. This includes the responsibility for formulating, guiding, and directing the technical approach; and defining and negotiation with activity and agency personnel for necessary resources. Establishment and control of technical milestones, schedules, budgets and costs are also essential tasks for the Program Manager. Minimum Requirements: + US Citizen + Active DoD Secret Clearance + Degree:  Bachelor's degree in any field + Experience: 10 years professional experience in program/project management and shipbuilding + Specialized Experience: Experience communicating with SES/Flag level personnel Preferred Qualifications: + Degree: Master's degree in Engineering or Business Management discipline or related field + Certs: Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAU Level II Program Management + Preferred Years of Relevant Experience: 15 years DoD/Navy program management,  Government technical management, or Industry  business management + Specialized Experience: DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process) Military service/experience in surface combatants Work Location: Contractor Site / Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC Work Schedule:  The position maybe eligible for an alternative work schedule and/or telework, depending upon Government direction at contract award. Position classification: Full Time Travel:  <10% Salary:  $110-120K; possibility for negotiable bonus plan developed post-hire.
