Donor Development Coordinator **The Fountain of Youth** 1 Positions ID: 55560 Posted On 11/08/2024 **Job Overview** The Donor Development Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing engagement and fundraising strategies to enhance and grow revenue and current and prospective donors. **Key Responsibilities** + Coordinate information tracking processes regarding acknowledgement, recognition, on-going communications and continued cultivation of past and current donors to enhance their relationship with FOY and increase the likelihood of continued contributions. + Establishes short and long-term goals for unrestricted funding resources. Strategizes and orchestrates methods of approach to donors. Researches grant sources to identify restricted and unrestricted funding. + Works with program staff to develop funding related projects. Organizes individual donor campaigns (major donors, direct mail, matching gifts, etc.) Organizes solicitation drives for pledges of ongoing support from individuals, corporations and foundations. + Make public appearances/Accept speaking engagements to share information about the FOY with the community. + Grant Writing- Solicits and writes proposals and reports for federal, state, city government RFP’s as well as private foundation and corporation RFP’s + Implement Planned Giving Program- Track progress of pending legacy and bequest gifts. Fulfill requests, produce correspondences and encourage partial/early disbursement where appropriate. + Performs a variety of bookkeeping and accounting duties to include monitoring monthly donation activity, tracking departmental expenditures and special events budgeting. + Assists in the scheduling and preparation of visits from current and prospective funders and ensures that optimum relations are maintained with all funding sources at all times. + Coordinates the planning and execution of special events, and is responsible for the administration, coordination of logistics and physical set-up and take-down. Events may involve evening and weekend hours and necessitate adjustments to the work week. + Provide monthly reports to the ED and the Board which measure progress towards achieving the plan. + Write press releases and media alerts + Develop and maintain media contacts with area media outlets + Other duties as assigned. **Skills and Qualifications** + Must have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field. + Minimum of 2 years of non-profit donor relations experience preferred. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. + Strong problem solving and analytical skills; strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow. + Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and written. + Must have a passion to serve others and a cultural competency to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small, non-profit environment. + Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software preferred. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office & Google Apps. Experience with graphic designs applications such as Canva, Microsoft Publisher, Photoshop preferred. + Experience with WordPress for website coordination preferred. **Physical Demands** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
