**Please note that salary ranges are calculated based off levels of: experience, education and any relevant certifications.**
**JOB SUMMARY**
Responsible for overseeing Donor Floor Operations to include plasmapheresis donation procedures and to ensure donor safety and product integrity under the direction of the Center Manager.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Core**
+ Reviews donor record files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with cGMP.
+ Performs prompt and competent response to donor complaints, reactions, or deferrals.
+ Understands and performs proper DMS computer entry and comments for donor data and exceptions and assists in other activities as required.
+ Evaluates vein suitability of the donor by checking vein rebound and size to identify possible problems and makes necessary adjustments (if needed) to expedite donation time and ensure product quality and safety.
+ Performs all aspects of the plasmapheresis procedures and plasma collection, including donor set-up, venipuncture, collections donor samples, monitoring and disconnect in compliance with SOPs and FDA guidelines.
+ Performs troubleshooting of equipment within scope of training.
+ Alerts management when equipment poses a risk to donor/product safety.
+ Troubleshoots equipment failures, when needed, including proper diagnosis and documentation of events to include removing and/or returning equipment to service.
+ Prepares equipment by performing PQ/calibrations and verifying required maintenance has been performed as outlined in the SOPs.
+ Maintains alertness for donor reactions and assists with reaction and notifies appropriate Medical Staff.
+ Assists in educating new donors on different specialty programs.
+ Trains and provides guidance to new and existing employees, as required.
+ Provides guidance about processes and technical procedures issues to Donor Floor Technicians, Phlebotomists, Senior Phlebotomists, and other staff, as required.
+ Leads teammates in a manner that maximizes a high level of customer service and strives to meet all production goals.
+ Ensures a timely, accurate and professional response to all donor questions.
+ Communicates with management on relevant information regarding areas of work.
+ Identifies areas of opportunity for continuous improvement within Operations.
+ Maintains a clean, orderly, and efficient work environment and ensures sufficient operating supplies are available as needed.
+ Responsible for verifying and changing supply lot numbers when a new lot number is introduced into production.

**PRIMARY CONTACTS**
+ Center management, donors, employees, auditors, inspectors, vendors, corporate staff, and visitors.
**REQUIREMENTS**
**Education, Qualifications & Experience**
+ High school diploma, or equivalent, required (in California, Phlebotomy Certification required).
+ Minimum of one-year Phlebotomy experience preferred.
+ Phlebotomist certification preferred.
+ Medical office, health care, blood or plasma collection center experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
**Physical Requirements**
Work is primarily light in nature, with exerting up to 50lbs of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Use of fingers to type and / or enter numbers on keyboards, keypads, etc. along with grabbing object(s). Additionally includes, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, bending, stooping, and walking. Involves sitting, standing, and walking most of the time.
**Working Conditions**
+ Primarily inside with well-lighted and well-ventilated areas.
+ Exposure to Blood Borne Pathogens.
+ Periodic exposure to an environment with a temperature of -40°C for short periods of time.
**Travel**
Travel as needed up to 25% of working time to plasma collection centers and other KEDPLASMA/Kedrion locations, which includes overnight travel.
