DONOR FLOOR TECHNICIAN
This is What You’ll Do:
Comply with federal, state, local and company-specific regulations related to quality of product,employee and donor safety and to the proper performance of day-to-day activities. Review donor records for accuracy and completeness. Label and ensures each unit and samples are labeled accurately. Set-up and prepares all equipment and disposable supplies for venipuncture and
plasmapheresis procedures. Disconnect donor after plasmapheresis process is completed. Maintain proper ratio to ensure donor safety and to quality of product. Operate the automated plasmapheresis machines including response and evaluation of all
alarms and machine errors, documentation of exceptions, etc. Remove and/or replaces equipment from service. Monitor donors and maintains awareness to any reactions to ensure donor safety. Monitor equipment operations to ensure quality of product. Dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment and biohazard waste. Ensure proper sanitation and cleaning of equipment and work area between donors. Perform calibration/maintenance of automated plasmapheresis machines. Ensure donor confidentiality, meets customer service expectations, greets and acknowledges
donors as they are assigned to donation area and after completing donation process. Maintain thorough familiarity with all State and Federal Regulations, Standard Operating
Procedures, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and internal company procedures. Maintain general cleanliness of work area to ensure a clean and professional environment.
• Maintains/stocks adequate inventory and replenishes supplies on plasma carts. Report all unsafe situations or conditions to Senior Phlebotomist and/or Donor Center Management. Perform other job-related tasks, as assigned

This is What It Takes:
High school diploma or GED Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts Ability to lift up to thirty-five pounds Ability to enter environment with temperature of -40C for short periods of time Minimum 1 year experience in laboratory or warehouse environment Highly organized and detail oriented Demonstrates consistency and reliability
