The Donor Services Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of Donor Recovery Technicians, hospital relations, and supporting our business partners to ensure continuity of supply and business support. The DS Supervisor will oversee initiatives related to development strategies, process efficiencies, and Donor awareness efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong donor service and customer service background, with supervisory experience and the technical capacity to implement industry best-practice in donation management, data input and relationship building.
What will you be doing?
Supervising recovery staff while ensuring that all SOP’s and applicable standards, policies and regulations are communicated, trained and adhered to by recovery technicians.
Assisting with the development and growth of Hospital recovery programs.
Educating, training, and development of medical staff involved in Hospital recovery program.
Educating, training, and development of Donor Recovery Technicians.
Overseeing recovery fulfilment to support operations.
Support as back up as required for Recovery Technicians, to include tissue acquisition.
Receipt of tissue into the facility and seeking follow-up for any intake issues.
Reviewing and documenting serology results for all tissue donors.
Assisting with the management of Tissue Recovery Agency partnership programs.
Actively procuring outstanding documentation and information required for donor chart completion.
Proactively communicate/escalate issues and risks related to tissue acquisition and the Donor Services department.
Reduce organizational risk and increase efficiency as it pertains to recovery of donor birth tissue.
Active involvement in AATB.
Other duties within the Tissue Bank operation as assigned.
What will you need to be successful?
Must have CTBS certification or must be able to achieve the certification within one year of employment or next certification cycle
Bachelor’s degree or RN combined with at least five years of experience in tissue banking/transplant and two years of supervisory experience.
Experience with birth tissue acquisition preferred.
