The Donor Support Specialist provides comprehensive administrative support for the philanthropy team including database management and reporting, gift processing and acknowledgement and other support.
In this role, you will:
+ Ensure timely and accurate and complete entry and processing of all donations in Raiser’s Edge donor database.
+ Follow policies and procedures to maintain accurate and high-quality donor and gift records and information, and confidentiality.
+ Send personalized thank-you letters to donors within 48 hours of receiving their donations. Regularly update acknowledgment letters to keep donor communication current and engaging.
+ Create reports and lists to support the philanthropy team efforts and leadership.
+ Regularly review donor records to identify and correct discrepancies.
+ Work cross departmentally with the accounting team to assist in the monthly reconciliation of donation records.
+ Provide support to the philanthropy team as needed, including supporting department events planning, logistics and guest management.
+ Collaborate with other teams and departments to streamline processes.
+ Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned to support department and council objectives.

+ Minimum two years’ experience providing administrative support in a philanthropy/fundraising environment.
+ Experience using Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge is preferred.
+ Proficiency in MS Office software including Word and Excel required.
+ Organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
+ Ability to adjust and be flexible to meet changing priorities, workload and projects.
+ Demonstrates critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to interact professionally with all levels of our diverse staff, external customers, and donors.
+ Ability to work efficiently, effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines and achieve goals with minimal supervision.
+ Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
+ Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and access to reliable transportation. Daily and/or occasional travel may be required.

Expected salary range: $20.00 - $23.00/hour (DOE)
