Door Host - Rum Bullions - Part Time -Swing (Reno)

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: 

Entry-level position for security door host in a nightlife venue. Responsible for the safety and security of guests and employees at an assigned post by enforcing house policies and laws regarding alcohol service.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Includes, but is not limited to the following.)

Check identifications of all guests to ensure they are 21 years of age or older. Enforce appropriate dress code of guests while in the venue. Ensure the venue is not overcrowded by maintaining door counts. Assist with setup and takedown of the venue as well as general housekeeping. Respond to incidents of confrontation and disturbance to de-escalate them accordance with Eldorado Resorts Security Department policies and procedures.  Provide Family Style Service to our guests and employees. Regular, predictable attendance in accordance with department policy. Other job related duties as assigned.

Welcome the guest: Give a warm, genuine, and signature family style welcome to each guest. Engage the guest: Create a positive overall experience by providing genuine family style service to each internal and external guest. Part with the guest: Give a warm, genuine, and signature family style parting comment to each guest.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with staff and guest. Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Required: none 

                     Preferred: Some security or related experience.

Certificate/License: Must have a permit to work in the United States, Gaming Card, and Alcohol Awareness card.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an area, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, dimly lit or brightly illuminated. May require working at a level of 4 ft. above floor level, in confined areas, around moving objects, in high places and on slippery surfaces. May come into contact with vibrations, solvents/oils, fumes/odors and dirt/dust. Requires use of electrical devices, mechanical devices, and computer equipment. Constant contact with staff and guest. Regular, predictable attendance and the ability to work flexible hours. 

TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: (May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position). Requires being mobile 100% of the shift. Requires seldom sitting, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, lifting carrying from 10 to 100 lbs., driving a vehicle, light and firm/strong grasping with both hands; occasional climbing (to include stairs), balancing; frequent standing, walking, repetitive use of the dominant hand and finger dexterity, near/far visual acuity, depth perception, field of vision, accommodation and absence of color blindness. Requires normal sense of smell and sound. Requires hand/eye coordination. Requires the ability to distinguish letter of symbols, perform complex tasks, simple reading, math and complex writing skills. Requires the ability to see things spatially and with form, supervise, instruct others, follow instructions, influence others, meet time requirements, memorize, problem solve, use independent judgment and decision making skills. Requires communicating by two-way radio and telephone in English.
