JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for verifying that guests are 21 years and older, ensuring the safety and protection of the guests, employees and hotel/casino property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May include, but is not limited to the following)
Check identifications of all guests to ensure they are 21 years of age or older; Enforce appropriate dress code of guests while in bar; Respond to confrontational or combative situation and be able to diffuse the tension in a positive manner in accordance with Silver Legacy Security Department policies & procedures. Answer questions from guests regarding Silver Legacy or the surrounding area to the best of your ability. Regular, predictable attendance in accordance with department policy; Other job related duties as assigned.

Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Ability to diffuse confrontational situations in a calm and professional manner. Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Requires seldom sitting, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling. Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols, perform complex tasks, simple reading, math and complex writing skills. Requires the ability to see things spatially and with form, perform clerical functions, compile, coordinate, analyze and synthesize information. Requires the ability to supervise, instruct others, follow instructions, influence others, meet time requirements, memorize, problem solve, use independent judgment and decision making skills. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
