Door Shop-Production Worker
**Description** OrePac is a building products wholesaler with warehouse and door shop. This position will be in the door shop where there are three lines of finishing doors. They will be at the end of line and will be lifting roughly between 100-130 doors a day weighing about 60 pounds and may lift an additional 30-40 pounds weighing upwards of 80 pounds. They will be putting these doors on pallets and staging them. Operating a forklift, to move staged doors. Once they graduate from this position, they can move up the line to where they can use pneumatic staplers, power drills, etc. Prefers somebody who is mechanically inclined or has some hand and power tool experience for the room for growth. • Analyze and resolve work problems • Work with a team to create and build products • Palletize and prepare finished orders for shipment • Work to maintain a safe and clean work environment • Enact company policies and abide by safety regulations Room for Growth: Once they graduate from this position they can move up the line and: + Read and understand orders as received + Assemble prefabricated doors to meet work order specifications + Review all finished goods to ensure accuracy and quality of construction + Use power tools such as mills, saws, and joiners + Use pneumatic tools such as nail guns + High School diploma or general education degree (GED) • Ability to regularly lift/move/manipulate up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift/move/manipulate up to 100 • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to safety regulations • Ability to perform all job functions safely • Excellent attention to detail • Ability to read a tape measure accurately and consistently to 1/16” • Ability to read and interpret verbal instructions, diagrams, and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals • Strong problem-solving skills • 1 year of experience with hand and power tool experience (Preferred) **Experience Level** Intermediate Level **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
