Door Shop-Production Worker
**Job Title: Door Shop-Production Worker** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our door shop team. The role involves working on the finishing lines, lifting and staging doors, and operating forklifts. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined and has experience with hand and power tools. There is potential for growth, with opportunities to move up the line and take on more responsibilities. **Responsibilities** + Analyze and resolve work problems + Work with a team to create and build products + Palletize and prepare finished orders for shipment + Work to maintain a safe and clean work environment + Enact company policies and abide by safety regulations + Once promoted, read and understand orders as received + Assemble pre-fabricated doors to meet work order specifications + Review all finished goods to ensure accuracy and quality of construction + Use power tools such as mills, saws, and joiners + Use pneumatic tools such as nail guns **Essential Skills** + High School diploma or GED + Ability to regularly lift/move/manipulate up to 60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds + Ability to read, write, and communicate in English + Ability to perform all job functions safely + Excellent attention to detail + Ability to read a tape measurer accurately and consistently to 1/16” + Ability to read and interpret verbal instructions, diagrams, and documents + Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement + Strong problem-solving skills **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 1 year of experience with hand and power tools (Preferred) + Military experience preferred + Consistent work history **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical and dental insurance with up to 70% employer contribution, vision insurance, HSA with up to $1,000 annual employer contribution, personal time off, paid holidays, free life and disability insurance, free employee assistance program (EAP), free gym membership, and employee discounts. The standard shift is Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Steel-toed boots are required, and there is no overtime for temporary workers. Once hired directly, there may be around 5 hours of overtime per week. The position requires the ability to lift heavy weights and use various power tools. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, Washington. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
