Minimum Qualifications:

An associate degree from an accredited college or university; OR Two (2) years of relevant work experience; OR at least six (6) months performing the job duties of this position. At least two (2) years of administrative or clerical experience. Experience answering calls from the public. Experience comparing and analyzing data. Ability to write clearly with minimal errors.

Preferences:

Experience with Bureau of Voter Registration Services (BVRS) programs and procedures. Experience with third-party voter registration organizations (3PVROs). Fluent in Spanish.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This is professional, complex work assisting with all administrative, programmatic, and operational activities within the Division of Elections/Bureau of Voter Registration Services (BVRS). This position is responsible for, including but not limited to, the following duties:

Responsible for the administration and coordination of the third-party voter registration organization (3PVRO) program including processing registrations to apply as 3PVRO, pursuant to s. 97.0575, F.S. and Rule 1S-2.042, F.A.C. Performs daily updates to the 3PVRO database and website. Tracks and evaluates reports the Supervisors of Elections submit relating to 3PVRO voter application accounting and 3PVRO non-compliance and violations for further investigation. Organizes, prepares, schedules, and provides 3PVRO training and materials. Coordinates voter applications orders, including printing and distribution of applications to 3PVROs. Responds to 3PVRO questions. Confers with management on all 3PVRO program updates, rules, and law changes.

Performs HSMV verifications by comparing and analyzing voter demographic information in FVRS with other approved sources to determine the validity or invalidity of automated matches between voters and Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles information.

Performs death matches by comparing and analyzing voter demographic information in FVRS with other approved sources to determine the validity or invalidity of automated matches between voters and death information provided.

Creates comprehensive credible and reliable felon case files by comparing and analyzing voter demographic information in Florida Voter Registration System (FVRS) with other approved sources to determine voters’ eligibility to be registered and/or to vote.

Interacts with Supervisor of Elections staff, other agencies, and the general public through the Voter Assistance Hotline and other communication sources.

Performs other work-related duties as required.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to work independently. Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to use deductive reasoning. Ability to use computer-based programs, knowledge with applications, FVRS, Voter Focus, DAVID and CCIS. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed, with short notice.
