Job Mission

The mission of EUV Source System Engineering is to provide technical leadership to a large and complex development effort. You must help the business manage complex interactions and enable our organization make good decisions for the business and for our customers.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Job Description

Manages the specification and analysis of at least one Business Driver and/or Function across multiple productsResponsible for business driver linked to plasma stability and controlsTypical candidates have control system background, plasma physics background helpful but not requiredAnalytical/data background is helpful, tends to deal with large dataHigh visibility role à communication skills are a big advantage, expected to “sell” concepts to stakeholders and leadersIn line with the global system concept and architecture contribute to the decomposition of the specific Business Drivers and/or Functions in various subprojects so that the total solution reaches the specs.Captures the outcome in the System Performance Specification (SPS), the System Design Specification (SDS) and the System Design Report (SDR).Ensure consistency of the specification for the Business Drivers and/or Functions and its application over a broader set of modules and productsDefines decomposition of the specific Business Drivers and/or FunctionVerify and qualify the Function Performance Specifications after System Integration on the basis of the Test Performance Specification (TPS) and Test Analysis Report (TAR) during the Alpha Test & Beta testFormulate & consolidate the vision to give direction on Business Driver and/or System Function level. Define the roadmap with a horizon of at least 3 years and create buy-in.Support any escalated technical issues on product level that cannot be resolved by Customer Support/D&E colleagues with relevant analysesIs able to take the technical lead to resolve escalations on product and program level.Actively contribute to IP generation.Actively shape and drive the technology studies & roadmapsActively contribute to the direction setting of the technical competency team for relevant Business Drivers and Functions within the System Engineering organization, the Technical Competence and Functional Clusters in Development & Engineering and Research projects.Actively manage and motivate a team to contribute to positive team dynamics.Can take over parts of the product system engineer roleCoach and guide junior colleaguesInfluence stakeholders on multiple product team level

Education

Requires an academic degree in a technical domainPhD with 3+ years of experienceMaster’s degree with 6+ years of experienceBachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience

Experience

Demonstrated experience architecting complex, cross functional or cross competence systems or subsystemsHas knowledge and experience in applying the System Engineering methodology, processes and ways of workingTrack record of technical leadership in design and engineeringAbility to cross functional boundaries to build relationships with all areas in the company, to understand and reconcile higher level company and customer needsHas worked on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factorsExperiences with customer and key stake holder management, an advanced understanding of customer relationship building internally or externallyDemonstrated communication skills and a proven capability to convey technical matters, both written and orally, in a clear and precise manner
