GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This job designs and customizes treatment plans under the direction of the radiation oncologist.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Calculates radiation treatment dose and enters data into the record and verify system. (80%)Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care. (5%)Assists the physics staff with duties which may include, but are not limited to, chart checks, research and QA initiatives. (5%)Performs other duties which may include, but are not limited to, mentoring employees/students and participating in hospital initiatives. (5%)Maintains electronic medical records for treatment delivery, charge entry and quality assurance. (5%)Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technologist program or graduation from a formal Medical Dosimetry training programRTT and CMD Board/Board eligible 3 years of therapy experience or 1 year of Dosimetry experience

Preferred

BA/BS Degree
