Familiar with the physical and geometric characteristics of radiation equipment and radioactive sources commonly used, with the training and expertise necessary to measure and generate radiation dose distributions and calculations under the directions of Oncologist and/or Medical Physicist. *Eligible for Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) is highly desired **Job Description** : **EDUCATION:** Bachelor's: Bachelor of Science in Physics related field **OR** Other: Graduate of medical Dosimetry program (JRCERT) **TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:** 2 years recent relevant experience **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE** Demonstrate an understanding in the area of cancer, radiation biology, radiation therapy techniques, radiation oncology physics, equipment technology, radiation safety and protection, anatomy, mathematics, and the psychosocial aspects of cancer. Must be able to understand the technical aspects of radiation oncology and medical physics to derive computerized treatment plans and communicate these aspects to the radiation oncologist for plan approval, and to the radiation therapist for plan implementation. Must have the ability to interpret and execute treatment plans as defined in relevant treatment protocols.
