Dosimetrist - RADIOLOGY ONCOLOGY

Under the general supervision of the Chief Physicist, this role produces an external beam (3D, IMRT, VMAT and electron) treatment plan for each patient according to the radiation oncologist's prescription or direction, with alternatives if necessary, using manual or computer methods. Calculates dosage for interstitial or intracavitary implant procedure using radioactive materials. Provides guidance for each initial treatment set up.  In addition, serves as quality assurance coordinator for the non-nursing functions of the department, including simulation and CT.

Required qualifications: 

Bachelor's Degree National Certified Medical Dosimetrist - Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board upon hire.

Preferred qualifications: 

EMR experience. 1 year of experience.
