Their main duty is to ensure that all necessary training and coaching are provided for the MO Western bulk drivers, including managing the driver safety telematics to monitor and coach drivers on their specific driving habits and behaviours.The incumbent is also supporting drivers in various activities such as product handling, quality assurance and safety. The incumbent is also overseeing the activities and training of outside carriers, contractors, brokers and drivers.This position is also responsible for ensuring compliance with municipal, provincial, federal and state regulations for the transportation and handling of Dangerous Goods.The incumbent interacts with logistics, sales, customer service and the Production groups, as well as with the Regional Maintenance Supervisor to support and help resolve operational issues related to transportation.Functions Performed:Accountable for providing training in product handling, regulatory affairs, equipment operation, quality assurance and safety for all Linde drivers as well as contractor driver trainer representatives. Ensures that proper training is completed in accordance with applicable policies and regulations and maintains accurate records of training compliance. Responsible for the maintenance and updating of all training materials for Linde driver staff under the direction of the Regional Transportation Superintendent and the National Safety Training Manager.Responsible for the administration and application of SES training requirements as outlined in the EAM Facility Training Document.Conducts annual driver evaluations and provides immediate coaching as well as written performance feedback to the regional manager. Conducts a minimum of 2 job tasks observations (JTOs) per driver annually and at the discretion of the regional manager. JTOs may be both announced and unannounced. Feedback will be provided in terms of an electronic report to the Regional Transportation Superintendent as well as coaching for the driver in question.Responsible for holding both group and individual training sessions as required. These sessions will be conducted both within and outside of safety meetings and may include running safety meetings alone.Ensures contractors hold regular safety meetings, provides information, materials, and support for these meetings.Responsible for aiding drivers, field management and dispatchers twenty-four (24) hours as day, seven days a week, by being available by telephone.Provides operational support for various distribution activities and initiatives.These tasks include but are not limited to:Helps resolve any field issues such as near-miss reports, eyes on reports and other safety related issues.Support compliance training activities.Helps complete site surveys as needed.Helps ensure drivers and contractors comply with Linde’s safety policies and procedures.Works with production as necessary to resolve driver/loading problems.Travels between regions to perform these tasks and accountabilities as required by the regional superintendent.Is a member of the Reginal Transportation Emergency Response Team.Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2023 sales of $33 billion.
