DP9819 Lead Manufacturing Engineer

Our client is a global leader in mobile electronics, transportation components and systems technology that has awarded Bartech as the master vendor for its North American contract workforce, managing the company's contract staffing needs.  As a result, we are currently seeking professionals who have experience below:

 

Job Description:

Responsible for the design and/or testing of tooling and equipment and/or planning the manufacturing processes in a designated area of the manufacturing plant. Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, operation sequence and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. Interfaces with engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Estimates manufacturing costs determines time standards, makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. As required, maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

 

Required Skills:

High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult. Understanding of engineering theory and principles of design. Highly developed oral and written communications skills. Very high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others. General interest in product design, particularly automotive. Familiarity with basic machine types. Familiarity with all design, build and test services. Highly proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Thorough knowledge of most advanced engineering methods, tools, and procedures. Knowledge of design, development and test engineering, manufacturing processes, assembly operations and Central Office functions.

 

Experience Required:

15+ years of relevant experience.

 

Education Required:

College degree with a major in engineering or equivalent training. Completion of recommended corporate training programs.

 

Education Preferred:

Graduate degree preferred.
