Primary Purpose
The Fire Science (FS) Program seeks a qualified individual to serve as a DPSST Test Proctor.
Essenatial Duties and Responsibilities
+ Proctor for DPSST testing stations during DPSST practical exam
+ Assist in the opening and end of day procedures
+ Assume responsibility for test security, data entry, transfer of data and results to the appropriate source.
+ Perform other duties as they obtain to the overall objective of this position.

Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the duties and responsibilities of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. The individual is expected to follow College work rules and policies.
+ Ability to work with minimal supervision within a “team environment,” with a high level of accuracy and reliability.
+ Possess excellent computer skills.
+ Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using the English language with or without the use of an interpreter.
+ Possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills including the ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse populations to humanize testing experience.
Ergonomic Requirements
Work will be performed during regular working hours in a classroom setting. Extended standing with occasional lifting between 10-25 lbs. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms and requires near visual acuity to write, read written materials and computer screens, and sufficient hearing and speech ability for ordinary telephonic conversations. Computer screen is used more than 50 percent of the time. Must be able to climb or pull self upward and guide, feeding materials into proper position. All individuals are required to be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Requirements
+ High School diploma or GED
+ DPSST Firefighter 1 Certification
