The Director, Supply Chain Procurement Surgical Vision will be the Procurement Lead accountable to oversee the external spend in support of the global Surgical Vision platforms. These platforms are present in most markets of the world, represent approx. $ one billion NTS with projected moderate growth, hold premier market positions, but also face significant market headwinds. The spend in support of this business resides in multiple categories that this role will have oversight to and sums up to half a billion$ per year.

Key Role Responsibilities

· Representing all Procurement across the category/BU operating model as core member of the leadership team of Surgical Vision Supply Chain and extended member at RD (extended RD membership status to be earned).

· Contributing to the success of all Vision SC Procurement as member of the Vision SCP LT.

· Orchestrating the efforts of the direct categories and representing the scope of Indirect Categories, (tbc).

· Owning and delivering the holistic SC Source business plan, improving financial performance (e.g. GP), cash flow and developing a value creation pipeline over long range financial plan as part of Surgical Vision supply chain.

· All of the above in close collaboration with category leaders and other BU procurement roles.

· Partnering and leading as full member of the end-to-end Surgical Vision Supply Chain LT as the Source delivery owner, driving reliable supply, value (Type 0-2 savings), NPD support, and supporting any network changes.

· Working closely with Surgical Vision Business Development and RD to support new product pipeline development upstream and product launch and/or integration with DTV mindset.

Being an active citizen in the MedTech Supply Chain community as well as in the Enterprise Procurement function.

Approximate Percentage of Time Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities

30% Engagement of Surgical Vision Supply Chain and RD. Full membership in the Surgical Vision SC LT, seeking extended membership on the Surgical Vision RD LT.

20% Orchestrating of category/supplier management performed by the team and oversight for the execution delivery of the strategic plan and business plan, in line with expectations put forth by Surgical Vision SC, Quality, RD and Commercial functions

20% Lead and develop the Surgical Vision Procurement team and its members

15% Drive the engagement of the core suppliers in collaboration with Category Teams

15% Active member in the MedTech Supply Chain as well as the Enterprise Procurement functions

• Broad-based understanding of business operations and practices and core Procurement areas of focus (e.g. Category Management, Supplier Management, Supply Chain Integration, Business planning, Performance Management).

• Strong Customer Orientation (building and maintaining strong relationships with JNJ senior Management).

• Strong leadership, Surgical Vision/strategy setting, communication, influencing, collaboration, talent development skills are key

• Strong project and change management capabilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skill with ability to confidently present complex information

• Ability to continuously improve the organization

• Strong Business Acumen, Medical Device and specifically Surgical Vision relevant industry experience preferred

Ability to drive simplicity efforts within the organization

Preferred Skills

Preferred Area of Study: BS/BA in a technical field, e.g. engineering; advance degree (MBA) is preferred compliment

Preferred Related Industry Experience (if applicable): Experienced professional with business experience in multiple roles across a variety of functional specialties including general management, RD, Product Management, Supply Chain or a Technical field with at least 5 years within a Procurement environment in a senior position.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· High level of proficiency with core Procurement skills (e.g., supplier management and performance, supply market analysis, Category Management, Contract development, Procurement Excellence, etc.)

· High level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community

· Strong influencing skills with ability to see issues from multiple viewpoints and understand differing needs of stakeholders (e.g., businesses, Procurement LT, Marketing, RD, Supply Chain); has "presence"
