Job Title: CAD Technician II (Drafter) Job Description As a CAD operator, you will be a vital part of our drafting team. Your main tasks will include supporting the team in drafting redlines from planners, processing surveyed bases into final drawings, supporting entry-level CAD operators, and creating circuit and vicinity maps. You will be expected to take direction from the team lead and apply the Southern California Edison drafting standards and regulations with reasonable accuracy. You will also be responsible for researching and navigating online mapping services such as Google Maps to verify drawing accuracy, interpreting planner redlines, and accurately tracking and recording daily tasks for timekeeping. Hard Skills + Reading and interpreting maps + Working with Edison Base Maps + Knowledge of AUD 2020 + Ability to navigate GIS systems (Google Maps) + Ability to read and transfer utility maps onto Edison base maps Soft Skills + Good communication skills + Ability to take direction + Detail-oriented + Time management skills Work Site This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in UPLAND, California and some days remote. Addition Information: + Compensation: $28-$35 per hour + Hybrid work schedule. Initially will be full time in Office until competent with AUD Drafting software (2-4 months time frame). + Full time 40hr work week.
