ABOUT THE ROLE

The Drafter is responsible for completing specifically assigned drafting projects as assigned by the Product Development Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operating a computer and all applicable programs needed for the job. These items primarily are AutoCAD, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe PDF. AutoCAD will be taught so no prior experience is needed, if you have experience, that is welcome too. Utilizing internet-based tools. Navigating a network drive for maintaining file organization. Looking up any code related items on a regular basis is a daily task as well, this includes the DAPIA building requirements. Maintaining communication with multiple departments in a professional manner. Maintaining print packages for production and keeping up to date. Following assigned projects/task in a timely manner. Sitting for long periods of time. Jump from task to task at moment’s notice, then going back to the original task you were doing. Perform other duties as assigned. There is more to this position than described above, it is a fast-paced environment with never ending work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a positive; team orientated attitude and willingness to learn. Math skills, including working in fractions. Basic computer skills Keyboard typing skills (do not require to fast typing) Communicate both verbally and written in English, bi-lingual is more than welcome. Ability to retain information/knowledge. Be coachable with any feedback given. Follow instructions. Have self-accountability skills. Have good time management skills. Be detail orientated.

Normal office environment Frequent sitting, with occasional walking and standing Requires dexterity on use of fingers for the operation of computers and other office equipment
