Civil Engineering Drafter Responsibilities: + Creating Detailed Drawings: Develop detailed drawings and plans for civil engineering projects such as highways, bridges, and water systems using CAD software. + Interpreting Specifications: Work closely with civil engineers and architects to understand project requirements and technical specifications + Conducting Site Visits: Visit project sites to gather data and assess project needs + Ensuring Compliance: Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and local planning codes + Collaborating with Teams: Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop and refine project plans + Revising Designs: Update and revise drawings based on feedback and changes in project scope + Providing Technical Support: Offer technical support to construction crews and project managers during the building phase Qualifications: + Education: An associate degree in drafting, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field is often required + Software Proficiency: Proficiency in CAD software is essential. Familiarity with 3D modeling tools can be an advantage + Technical Skills: Strong understanding of civil engineering concepts and drafting techniques.
