POSITION SUMMARY We are currently seeking a Drafter to support the engineering group in new product development, customer specific products, production engineering, and quality initiatives. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES + Utilize design software to create detailed part drawings based on specific customer needs + Revise drawings based on customer feedback + Check work order against drawings to verify adherence to customer specifications and standards + Create prints for production from work order + Maintain accuracy of design files, technical documentation, and mechanical BOMs + Consult with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, and drafting standards. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES + High School Diploma/GED reguired, 2-year Technical Degree or equivalent relevant experience desired + minimum 2 years' previous experience with a computer-based design program in CAD/CAM software or shop floor experience running the similar types of equipment as what will be programed is desired + General knowledge of drafting (tolerances/dimensions) + Ability to read and understand blueprints and work orders + Knowledge of raw materials used by the organization (aluminum, titanium, composites, etc) + Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization + Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications + This position requires a good understanding of part holding, machine operation and G code as well as knowledge of advanced machining techniques. + Good reasoning, problem solving, and communication skills (verbal and written) are needed for this position.
